Summary
4PDFOnline (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a free, browser-based set of PDF tools. There is no account system and no server-side database — but this site does run Google AdSense advertising, which uses cookies. This policy explains exactly what that means and how it lines up with the GDPR (EU), CCPA (California) and LGPD (Brazil).
In short: the PDFs and images you open are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to us. The one exception to “no tracking” is advertising: like most free sites, we use Google AdSense to cover costs, and AdSense sets its own cookies.
This policy applies to 4PDFOnline.com, one of a small family of independent tools published under 4Utilities:
1. Data We Collect
- We do not require sign-up, login or any account.
- We do not ask for your name, email or phone number in the tools themselves.
- We run no analytics or tracking scripts of our own and keep no server-side database of activity.
- If you email us through the Contact page, we receive whatever you choose to include — sent directly and voluntarily by you.
- Our advertising and font providers may automatically receive limited technical data such as your IP address (see sections 3 and 4).
2. How Your Files Are Handled
- Your documents are never uploaded. When you open a PDF or image, your browser reads it directly from your device. All merging, splitting, compressing, rotating and converting happen locally with JavaScript.
- We operate no server that receives, stores or processes your files. Because the work is local, the tools keep working even if your connection drops after the page loads.
- We do not place your file data in cookies or browser storage. When you close or reload the tab, the files are gone from memory.
3. Cookies & Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which is how this free tool pays for itself. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies. Specifically:
- Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- This enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- Where required by law (EU/EEA, UK, Brazil), Google’s consent mechanism asks permission before using cookies for personalized ads, and you can change or withdraw consent at any time.

4. Third-Party Services
A few third parties help deliver this page. None of them ever receive the files you edit.
- Google AdSense — advertising, as above. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces load from Google’s font servers, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare) — the PDF engine libraries load from the cdnjs content-delivery network. cdnjs receives a standard request for those library files (including your IP), but never your documents.
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect any in the first place.
5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data and to withdraw consent. Because we keep no accounts or database, most requests relate to Google’s advertising cookies, which you control through the links in section 3 and your browser settings. 6. Children’s Privacy
4PDFOnline is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
